| Writing fan fiction is fun, a great way to keep your favorite
TV show and its characters alive, and a fantastic way to let your imagination run wild. Putting your
faves into situations that they normally would not end up in on TV helps to fulfill fantasies.
That's why, the guidelines we set down for fan fics submitted to this site are geared towards YOU, the author, having fun and wanting to continue writing. I think its safe to say that we are all out of school now and have a pretty good knowledge of basic English
grammar, punctuation and sentence structure.
Number one submission rule,
NO SLASH!!!!!!
Any sent will be sent back. Check out the sister
site, The E Nook if you would like a story posted there. (Slash story) See link
on stories page.
Wouldn't you rather spend your time making sure that the worry and emotions about what Johnny is going to say and do when Roy disappears under a wall that has collapsed, or the heartache that Roy is going through when Johnny is once again under the knife comes out right, rather than worry about whether or not the story is written in first person, third person, the tenses are correct, that you haven't gone "comma crazy", spell checks, and that your sentences follow noun, verb structure?
We think so. So "Webby" is gonna help you guys out. By sending us your fanfic to our site for submission, you are authorizing Webby to do basic editing to your story. No drastic changes will be made to a storyline, just basic
grammar, punctuation and spelling. Any story that requires extensive editing will be sent back to you with a note explaining the why's and wherefores by Webby.
Webby can not accept fan fics in MicroSoft Word 7.o or
higher (if using Word Perfect, please convert to .rtf format). But can accept
them in Text, HTML, also in basic .doc and .txt files which at this time are preferred
along with those already in HTML code. No special margins, font size is required. Stories on other sites, WILL NOT BE LINKED IN to this website. That is a violation of
bandwidth and we don't want to cause trouble.
